The duo of Lydia Demi-Smith and Dave Jensen in Mountain Meets the Sea bring the most beautiful harmonies, gifted playing, and real power to their music. While we love seeing both of them in various bands around town, hearing them together and acoustic left people with smiles and warm hearts. Lydia's rendition of "Red River Valley" in a minor key is unforgettable. The plaintive message of longing comes through unlike any other version I've heard. And Dave's raw, powerful styling of "Darlin' Corey" is one that stayed with me for days (in fact, I can hear him singing it as I write these words, so cool). This is a duo to watch and one we'll be seeing more of, I'm sure!
